WireGuard on DigitalOcean

A DigitalOcean Droplet is a straightforward VPS for a personal WireGuard VPN. Pair it with WireGuard Kit so you do not hand-edit keys.

Steps

1. Create a basic Droplet (1 GB / Ubuntu).
2. Copy the Droplet public IP.
3. Generate server + client files in the browser tool.
4. Install WireGuard on the Droplet and enable wg-quick@wg0.
5. Open UDP port 51820 in the cloud firewall.
6. Import clients via QR on iOS/Android.
